How it works

Four steps between a quote and a repair you don't dread.

A service contract should be effortless to use on the worst day of the car's year. Here's the whole path, with nothing hidden in the fine print.

  1. 1

Match the plan to the machine

Coverage is built around your car's make, age, mileage, and how much protection you want — from core powertrain to near-comprehensive. You set the deductible too.

    Takes one short conversation.

  2. 2

    Drive, with the gap closed

Once the contract is active, eligible repairs are covered for its full term. Nothing to track day to day — the protection simply sits behind you.

Coverage begins after a brief waiting period.

  3. 3

Something fails — take it in

Bring the vehicle to a marque specialist or authorized dealer. The shop diagnoses the fault and contacts LuxGuard to confirm what's covered before work begins.

Roadside assistance and towing are included on most plans.

  4. 4

    We settle the covered cost

LuxGuard pays the repair facility directly for the covered portion. You pay your flat deductible and drive away — no reimbursement paperwork, no waiting on a check.

You only ever handle the deductible.

A claim, start to finish

What a covered repair actually feels like.

  1. 1

A warning light comes on. You drop the car with a marque specialist near you.

  2. 2

The shop diagnoses a failed component and calls LuxGuard before touching the repair.

  3. 3

LuxGuard confirms coverage and authorizes the work — often the same day.

  4. 4

The shop completes the repair. LuxGuard pays them directly for the covered amount.

  5. 5

You pay your flat deductible, collect the car, and get on with your week.

Questions drivers ask before they protect a car.

Do I have to use a dealership?

No. Any licensed repair facility in the U.S. can perform covered work — including the marque specialist you already trust.

What's a waiting period?

A short window after the contract starts before claims can be filed. It keeps coverage fair for everyone and is explained clearly in your contract.

What if I sell the car?

Most LuxGuard contracts are transferable, so remaining coverage can pass to the new owner — a genuine selling point on a high-value vehicle.

Is this car insurance?

No. A vehicle service contract covers mechanical breakdowns and wear — the things auto insurance specifically excludes. The two work alongside each other.
